As you review the details of our engine rebuild program options above, and the work we do in our other pages of service, repair, and machining operations information, you will see why Paul Weir is one of the best Porsche engine rebuilders in the business. We can offer you the knowledge and experience it takes to rebuild your engine properly. Here are just a few of the reasons why Paul Weir is the optimum choice to rebuild your Porsche engine:
- Nationwide program. Our nationwide engine rebuild program is designed so that no matter where you live we make it easy to get your engine to us.
- Long-time expertise. Paul has been rebuilding Porsche 911 engines for close to 30 years (since 1979) and has rebuilt hundreds of Porsche 911-914-6,930-964 and 993 engines over the years.
- Machine shop. Paul does much of his own machine work but some things (crankshafts, for example) have to be sent out. The machinists we send these parts to are the best in the Pacific Northwest or California, and all have over 20 years experience. Doing proper, high quality machine work allows us to return many of your worn or damaged engine parts to a condition that is as close to good-as-new as possible, saving you substantial money in the process.
- Easy pallet/box shipping, local towing, or lower-cost local auto moving, or enclosed nationwide auto transport trucks are available. We can arrange everything, from sending the pallet and box with instructions to you (if you are removing the engine yourself) or to your local mechanic, or we can call the freight company for pickup and delivery. Paul also arranges auto transport with high quality enclosed longhaul trucks to pick up your car almost anywhere in the US.
- 30-60-day average turnaround. Your engine is normally completely rebuilt in one or two months. Sometimes major crankshaft regrinding/and renitriding (rehardening) work can take longer. For shipped engines shipping adds a few days on the front and back ends and varies according to your location.
- 2-Year/24,000-Mile warranty. We are so confident in our service that we can offer this exceptional written warranty at no additional cost with every engine that we rebuild.
Paul Weir accepts engines shipped in from customers worldwide, as long as the customer agrees to pay the shipping and any related costs.
If you have any questions, or to schedule the pickup of your engine or car, give me a call and we’ll have your engine running great again. Paul Weir 360-652-5962.
